Prohibited and restricted products on TikTok Shop US and UK
A product sold on Amazon isn't automatically allowed on TikTok Shop. Some products are banned, others need documents or an approved application. Here's an overview: always read the official policy before you choose.
Prohibited (examples)
🇺🇸 United States
Weapons and some knives (switchblades, butterfly knives), drugs and paraphernalia, anabolic steroids, SARMs and similar substances, many weight-loss products, tobacco and vapes, adult products, counterfeits, recalled and hazardous products.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
Adult products, weapons, vapes, alcohol above 0.5% ABV, baby formula, certain banned ingredients and some baby and maternity items.
Restricted (documents or approval)
Categories such as beauty, electrical goods, toys, food, supplements or CBD need documents, certifications or an approved application before you can list. Some categories are invite-only.
What we avoid as beginners
Battery-powered products, products for children, health products and copies of trademarked brands: too many rules, too much risk at the start.
Watch out
These lists are examples, not exhaustive, and they change. The official policy pages (below) are the final word.
