As an affiliate, you don't hold stock, but you stake your credibility on every product. Five criteria help you choose products that sell, pay a commission that lasts, and that you can present without lying.
The five criteria
- Allowed, not overcrowded, in season: filters 1, 3 and 5 of our six product filters.
- The commission: compare several products, and ask whether the seller's margin can carry it.
- The seller: check the shop's reviews and that it ships from inside your country, fast.
- Competition between creators: how many creators already promote this product?
- Honesty: can you present it without lying?

Categories to avoid as a beginner
On top of the products TikTok Shop prohibits, stay away from: health and "cure" claims, weight-loss products, financial products and crypto, gambling, alcohol and nicotine. The rules are strict, and one mistake can cost you your permissions.

Should I pick the highest commission?
Not on its own. A high rate on a product with a thin margin for the seller rarely lasts, and a product that doesn't sell pays nothing.

Can I promote a product I haven't tested?
Our rule: no. Test it first, and never claim a use you didn't have.
